We were delighted with the location - so close to the town centre, bars, restaurants and wine tasting cellars. The town has some wonderful historical walks which were fantastic. Car parking was available outside the hotel. Breakfasts were more than adequate and staff were very helpful with directions and queries.
As have already been mentioned in other reviews, the smell of the carpeting (I think it was seagrass matting) in the corridors and room was overpowering. The noise from other people in the hotel was also a nuisance, as the walls are very thin.

Exellent location in the city center, close to all you need.
To park your car will be an isseu in the main season, further the room we got was quit small compaire to price, but further perfect, clean, good bathroom., You must consider the location in this matter.

A very nice hotel right in the middle of Sancerre. Perhaps, you won't spend a week there, but staying for 1-2 nights is just perfect to explore the eastern part of Loire valley

The staff were very friendly throughout our stay, and were particularly helpful when we "misplaced" our passports in the hotel.
Car parking is problematic in all of Sancerre, and the hotel is no exception. Disapponting that there was no restaurant in the hotel, although there were plenty nearby in the town itself

Hotel is one street from the town centre, had a look at the other hotels in town, this was the right choice. but have a evening meal at the Du Rampart, nice food great view.
They had some really good photos taken to show the hotel off, the rooms are really small, the bathrooms are moden and have good showers. When then they say the bar shuts at 11 they mean it shuts!! you have to leave and they lock the bar doors!! how strange. an English news channel can't be to hard to organise.

Bright decor
Limited Parking. Bathrooms designed for look rather than function - no plugs for washbasin and nowhere to put soap.
